Back to Work

I was close...so close...to putting the finishing touches on my manuscript and query letter and submitting to agents, and then my life was turned upside down by the sudden and unexpected loss of my mother to a massive heart attack.
It was difficult to focus, to finish, to WANT to finish...but then I realized that she would have wanted me to. It was slow going at first...my mind would wander and I would lose focus...but I think I have officially finished it.
I think I will put it up for a week or so, read through it again, especially the last little bit that I just wrote, and then...the moment I have been waiting for: SUBMISSION!
I have been getting some really good feedback on Authonomy. People really seem to like my book and have been asking if it is being published because they would be interested in buying it. Now, THAT is motivation! That's one big kick in the ass to get this done! People want to buy my book?
Okay, now I have to put it out there for them. So, let's do this!
I'm officially back.
