Oh, boy did I have a busy weekend. Productive busy weekend. I finished a synopsis - completely different one from the first one I started - and the heart of my query. I think I'll spend the next week researching which agents I'm going to send to while I let the synopsis and query sit, then go back and edit. If all goes well, I might submit my first query in another week or two.
Holy crap is that exciting! Finally! All the blood, tears, and sweat... okay, not blood... is finally paying off.

OVERWHELMED!
Today is the day to be overwhelmed.
How to do it all? How to have time to do it all? Toddler... new puppy, both potty training... synopsis, queries, writing contests... agent searching... editing, editing, editing. Throw in the fact that I'm at my day job 9 hours a day, cutting into the time I have to do all this, and it feels like I'm never going to get to the point that I can say "I'm ready to start submitting!"
All I want is to have my work out there...
Sometimes I just want to cry.

Synopsis
First draft of the beginning of my synopsis... finally broke ground! Now, just have to keep the creative juices flowing....
Black Ring is the action packed journey of a girl, surround by secrets, set on an unwilling adventure that leads her to discover the truth about who – and what – she really is, all the while learning that nothing is safe, least of all her heart.
Kris Young has a guardian angel, or so she thought when she was three years old, when she was rescued by a mysterious stranger with heavenly blue eyes. Now seventeen and no longer a believer of angels, she is saved by him yet again and is left with more questions than answers. Who is he? What does he want with her? And...
